Among those who came to pay their respects to Kim Atienza’s daughter Emman at the Heritage Memorial Park was actress Ynez Veneracion. The actress admittedly had never met Kuya Kim in person prior to the wake.
In her Instagram post last November 5, Ynez wrote, “Be a Little Kind Every Day 💖💛❤️
“We went to the wake of Emman Atienza last night. Even though I don’t personally know Kuya Kim, seeing him and getting the chance to talk to him was truly a blessing. I saw the kindness and sincerity in his heart.❤️ I have no doubt about how kind, sweet, and generous Emman was. Despite Kuya Kim’s pain and exhaustion, he still found the strength to smile and entertain those who came to visit Emman.”

Ynez attended the wake to accompany her teenage daughter Princess (her child with ex-partner and Maguindanao del Sur congressman Toto Mangudadatu), who was a fan of the late content creator. “My daughter Princess Mangudadatu is a huge fan of Emman. She admires the way she speaks, dresses, and thinks. Her beauty and intelligence truly inspired my little princess. So when my daughter heard the news about Emman’s passing, she cried!” Ynez shared.

The mother and daughter also got the chance to share an emotional moment with Kuya Kim, who gave them some very important words of advice. “Kuya Kim gave her a huge hug and shared a few heartfelt words: ‘If you want to honor Emman, LIVE! Be STRONG! That’s our deal, okay?’❤️💕💖
“My daughter cried even more after that… and so did I. I could feel Kuya Kim’s pain and as a parent also facing mental health struggles, I deeply understood it. Kuya Kim and his family are now a source of inspiration to me. An example of strength, faith, and love.”

Before ending her post, Ynez gave her followers some thoughts to think about when it came to respecting everyone’s mental health. “Emman fought her battles silently. We may never truly know the depth of someone’s struggles. So please, let’s not judge her or anyone else who may be fighting the same fight. We are not in their shoes, and it’s not our place to judge.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
“What we can do is to choose kindness every day. Try to understand where others are coming from, and most of all, pray for their healing. 🙏🙏🏻🙏🏻
“Our deep condolences @kuyakim_atienza. Thank you so much for welcoming us last night and for giving my daughter such positive energy. You are truly an inspiration to all parents. God bless you & your family! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻In honor of Emman, we will continue to live with kindness, strength, and love. 💖🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️”
