Marking their ninth anniversary as a couple on November 26, Kapamilya actor Ronnie Alonte took to social media to share a vlog revealing his proposal to longtime partner Loisa Andalio.
In the video uploaded on their YouTube channel, Ronnie documented his preparation for Loisa’s dream engagement ring.
“Eto na ang parinig mo @iamandalioloisa,” Ronnie said in a caption.
In the first part of the vlog, Ronnie showed how he personally selected the design he wanted for Loisa’s engagement ring - an oval-shaped piece engraved with meaningful details from their relationship.
“May idadagdag ako na papa-engrave… kung kailan kami naging (couple)... Gusto ko iplagay yung R.L. kasi Ronnie and Loisa tapos 11.26 kasi November 26 (naging kami),” Ronnie shared.
The following day, Ronnie finally received the customized ring and expressed excitement over asking the long-awaited question.
The next portion of the vlog featured the simple yet heartfelt proposal Ronnie planned for Loisa. He invited her to watch what she thought was a preview of a vlog they previously filmed.
“Ito pala yung naging plano ko. Tinawag ko so Loisa para sa preview kunwari ng vlog na ginawa namin,” Ronnie shared.
While watching the video with their fur baby, Mike, text suddenly appeared on the screen: “Will you marry me?”
Not expecting anything, Loisa asked, “Tapos na? Ayan na?” to which Ronnie replied, “Ano ba sabi sa screen? Ano sagot mo d’yan?”
Loisa playfully answered, “Secret,” prompting Ronnie to reveal the ring and kneel in front of her.
“Beh, ano? Ang hirap kaya sinulat ko na lang ( sa screen)! Ang bilis ng tibok ng puso ko. Beh, paano ito? Gusto ko marinig ang yes mo. Nakakakaba pala ito. Wala ako masabi kasi deserve mo talaga ito. Kapag hinabaan ko pa message ko baka maiyak na ako. Deserve mo ito. I love you. Will you marry me?” Ronnie said, as Loisa wiped away her tears.
Loisa finally answered “Yes,” and Ronnie placed the ring on her finger.
Ronnie shared afterward that he had been gathering hints from Loisa throughout their relationship about her dream proposal.
“Grabe yung experience. Hindi ko ini-expect na ganoon yung feeling ko,” he expressed, also thanking the jeweler behind the customized ring.
“Since naging kami, na patagal ng patagal, may mga tanong na ako kay Loisa kung ano ang dream engagement niya and nasa utak ko na iyon. Lahat ng iyon inipon ko hanggang sa dumating na sa plano ko na magpropose,” he added.
Ronnie’s vlog serves as the couple’s official confirmation following last week’s indirect engagement teaser.

On Instagram, Loisa posted an adorable photo with their dog Mike which quickly sparked speculation due to the prominent diamond ring on her finger. Although fans and celebrity friends flooded the comments with congratulations, the couple chose not to confirm or deny anything at the time.
The engagement ring was later seen on Loisa during the Star Magical Christmas event, where celebrity makeup artist and close friend RB Chanco (also Ronnie’s co-manager alongside Star Magic) posted a video highlighting the ring.
“Nine years, long but worth every moment. She finally said yes, and all you survived together shines in every sparkle of that diamond. While so many drifted apart, you stayed strong. R2, you got the girl of your dreams, the one your heart always held onto. Thank you for letting me be part of this love story from day one. Here’s to the future as Mr. and Mrs. Alonte. πβΎοΈπ,” she said.
She also posted in another post, “Couple of the hour. Some stories take time… and theirs was always meant to be. A glow that outshines even the brightest sparkle.”
On her Facebook page, Loisa reposted the vlog with the caption: “Effective ang parinig π₯Ήπ.”
She also shared a simple anniversary post featuring their sweet moments and photoshoot for the Star Magic event.
“9 years today, happy anniversary π,” Loisa wrote.
Loisa and Ronnie, known by fans as “LoiNie,” first revealed in a 2018 episode of Gandang Gabi Vice that they had already been together for two years, a week after publicly confirming their romance. The couple recently went viral after Loisa’s candid response in an interview on Think Talk Tea, where she expressed her hopes of settling down soon.
“Would you like to get married in the next 5 years?" the show’s host Kring Kim asked.
Loisa replied while looking at the camera, saying: “Sana naman, oo. Kung okay lang naman. Kung okay lang, sa 9 years na 'to, hindi naman kita pinipilit. Walang sapilitan 'to ha,”
Ronnie later playfully reposted the post on his Facebook page with caption: “tige. (sige).”
