Celebrity couple TJ Monterde and KZ Tandingan revealed that they are now working hard to save up for their dream house.
In an interview with MJ Marfori and other members of the media, the couple shared that much of their hard work is directed towards fulfilling this long-time goal.
"[Nag-iipon kami for] bahay," TJ said. "And siyempre next year gusto namin i-treat 'yung parents namin sa tour din... so 'yun pinag-iipunan namin 'yung mga ganung bahay, 'yung dream house."
The couple also shared that they've been consulting director-actor John Prats for ideas and inspiration for their future home.
"Actually tinatanong namin siya, 'Direk anong ginawa niyo sa bahay niyo.' ‘Direk 'pag natapos na 'yung bahay niyo gagawin naming model house bahay niyo ha?’" he said.
Fresh from their Sarili Nating Mundo tour abroad, KZ and TJ are now gearing up for their upcoming joint concert, In Between: Live at the Big Dome, happening on February 6, 7, and 8 2026, under the direction of John.
In a recent interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, KZ opened up about the secret to making their relationship thrive personally and professionally.
"Kasi it's rare. Lalong-lalo na in the beginning, before he became one of the biggest artists in the Philippines. Medyo nauna ako sa music industry because I joined X Factor, and para sa ibang mag-asawa, parang it hurts the ego of the husband na the wife is bringing in more money to the family,” she shared.
She went on: "TJ never made me feel that it was a crime for me to chase my dreams and be a wife."
TJ added mutual respect has always been the key to their strong partnership. "Yes, mag-asawa kami, but whenever we talk about music or when we work together, andun 'yung respeto.”
"Oo, asawa ko siya, pero siya si KZ, so kailangan kong galingan kasi kasama ko si KZ on stage. 'Yung respeto nandun. And whenever we write songs, 'yung respeto niya rin binibigay niya sa akin. Kaming dalawa, our mutual respect for each other, iyon 'yung feeling ko makes the partnership work," he highlighted.
Back in May, KZ also opened up how TJ is a source of inspiration for her personally and professionally.
"Si TJ kasi sobrang grateful ako na siya 'yung husband ko kasi when I am struggling as a person and especially as an artist, lumilingon ako sa kanya kasi this person also waited fifteen years to be where he is right now and fifteen years is an awfully long time to wait for the opportunity that you're meant to get," she pointed out in an interview in the latest episode of SB19's Time First podcast.
The singer described TJ as a constant reminder not to give up on her dreams. "May iba, year one pa lang, [sasabihing], 'Okay na ako. This is not for me...' But to wait fifteen years and to not give up, ibang courage 'yun, ibang strength 'yun. So whenever I feel like giving up on myself and sa career ko, siya 'yung reminder," she highlighted.
She further highlighted that TJ’s journey has deepened her trust in God's timing. "Time is something that we cannot control. Time is something that we can try running with or running against but we can never win against time. But the only thing that I am sure of is kung ano 'yung ginawa ng Panginoon for TJ na akala niya naubusan na siya ng oras," she said.
