Kapamilya actress Janine Gutierrez paid tribute to her Yaya Pat who recently passed away. In an Instagram post, she expressed her gratitude for their helper who had been with them for several decades.
Janine has long been sharing photos of her Yaya Pat on her social media accounts. More than just a helper, the actress considered her part of the family and even as a mother figure.

She shared several memories they had together in her post which included photos of her growing up. In her post, Janine shared lyrics to Billie Holiday’s “I’ll Be Seeing You” to commemorate the past decades she spent with her yaya Pat.
Janine expressed her gratitude towards her late yaya who had seen her grow up to become the woman she is today.
“Yaya, thank you for choosing us to be your children. Thank you for being with me my whole life and holding my hand through everything,” she wrote.
“Thank you for staying even when things were hard. Thank you for always coming back to us,” she added.
The Kapamilya actress maintained that yaya Pat was one of their sources of strength and had been her “refuge” throughout the years when things get tough for them.
“You are our home and decades of safety and care and wisdom and refuge and strength, so much strength that I truly believed that one day I would get you and we would grow old together,” she continued.
Though Janine admitted that there wasn’t enough time for the things she planned with yaya Pat due to her passing, she knows that her late yaya was happy to be with them.
“I didn't have enough time to keep some promises but looking at the photos, I know that you were happy. I am who I am because of you I am yours, and you are mine, always,” she expressed.
“I’ll be seeing you. I love you, ya,” she ended.
In a previous Magandang Buhay episode, Janine revealed that it was her yaya Pat that motivated her to be part of the entertainment industry as she wanted to help shoulder some of the cost of her cancer treatment.
