After being known as one of the finalists in Pinoy Big Brother: Gen 11 last year, Nyckolette "Kolette" Madelo, who was dubbed as the “Ang Ma-cute-lit na Raketera ng General Santos,” finally began her journey as a recording artist with her debut five-track mini album SAYAW which was released last June. In a recent interview on PUSH Bets, Kolette talks about the changes in her life since leaving the PBB house and the addition of a furry new member to her family.
Kolette told PUSH Bets host Gary Lastrilla about finally getting her first pet cat, Enoki, late last year. “Mahilig ako sa pets. Actually, siya ang pinaka-first kong pet. Actually, walang nag-aalaga sa kanya, aside sa akin. Kasi ako lang naman mag-isang tumira dito sa may Maynila. So iiwanan ko lang siya ng pagkain ‘pag umalis ako. Tapos pagbalik ko, i-pe-pet ko na siya. Ilalaro ko siya. Maglalaro kaming dalawa, gano’n,” she said.

Aside from Enoki, who she has been taking care of for the past ten months, Kolette shared she wants to add more pets to her home. “Mahilig ako talaga sa mga pets. Gusto ko pa siyang dagdagan. Same pa rin (sana), pusa. Pero gusto ko sana, nagpa-plan sana ako ng aso. Gusto ko na ng pusa ulit,” she added.
During her exclusive interview, Kolette also shared an unexpected accident after she tried to introduce Enoki to the pet dog of her fellow PBB 11 batchmate. “Okay naman so far at gumagaling naman na ‘yung sugat ko. So ngayon, pinapagalitan ko ‘yung pusa ko. Sinasabi ko sa kanya, ‘wag mo na ‘yon gagawin ulit. Kasi ‘pag ginawa mo, ipapa-rehome kita, charot! [laughs]. Ang kwento talaga no’n, may aso sila Kuya Dingdong (Bahan). Tapos nilapit ko ‘yung pusa ko dun. Kasi akala ko nga, gusto kong ipa-pa-friend. Parang kunwari, ‘pag pumunta ako dun, so parang naglalaro-laro na sila ganun. Mali pala ‘yung nasa isip ko. Nang nilapit ko na siya, kinalmot niya na ako. Kumapit siya ng mahigpit sa mukha ko at kinagat ako!” she recalled.
Despite being bitten multiple times on her face and hands, Kolette said she does not blame her cat at all for injuring her. “Pumunta kaagad ako ng doktor. Sabi ko, nag-panic ako eh. Baka may something. Eh, ano naman ‘yung loob ko kasi may ano naman siya, anti-rabies. So ano na lang, for sure na lang, pumunta na lang ako sa doktor, sa hospital,” she said.
