MANILA — Andrea Brillantes, known for going all out on her outfits -- especially Halloween costumes -- was nearly unrecognizable in her black cat ensemble for the "New Nocturnals" event in Makati City, Wednesday.
"The theme was nocturnal and cars, nocturnal animals," she said during the red carpet interview.
"Naalala ko ng bata ako, kwentuhan sa yaya ko when I was younger… Tumatak kwento niya, pag may nakita ka na itim na pusa, specifically a black cat, nagta-transform daw sila into a human. Ito yun," she added.
Brillantes said that creating the look was fun but also challenging.
"More than four hours or more; I started preparing 3 p.m.," she said. "Ang scariest thing is pag maligo ako mamaya, kinakabahan ako. Sana matanggal ko itong lahat."
She added that she looks forward to Halloween every year.
"Hindi naman ako pressured [to out do my looks]. Ever since I was a kid mahilig ako sa Halloween, dito ko na-express creativity ko. Kinakabahan lang ako, sa sobrang creative ko, napapagastos ako ng sobra. Doon ako na prepressure," she explained.
