Comedian Gil Aducal Morales, aka Ate Gay, shared a health update amid her battle with stage 4 cancer.

On her Facebook page on Thursday, October 2, the comedian shared that the lump on her neck has shrunk in size. She expressed her gratitude to those who have been praying for her recovery.

❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏," she posted.

Fans online were quick to react to Ate Gay's update.

"Keep the faith madirrr," one fan commented.

"You're always in my prayer. Get well soon," another fan wrote.

Ate Gay first disclosed her condition to the public in a recent interview with Jessica Soho in September. She recalled initially dismissing the lump on her face as mumps until it grew larger and more alarming.

Nagpa-ultra sound ako at nagpa-CT scan. After CT scan, magpa-biopsy daw ako," she recounted in the interview.

"Ang findings nu’ng una, benign. Nagpa-second opinion ako. May show ako sa Canada, medyo lumalaki na siya. At saka nagbi-bleed nang nagbi-bleed."

She was eventually diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.

In a recent interview with Ogie Diaz, Ate Gay said she found renewed hope as she began treatment with the help of a generous benefactor. According to her, a sponsor shouldered the costs of her chemotherapy and radiation at a top hospital.

Ate Gay relayed that the benefactor was connected to Gabay Guro, a non-government organization where she had previously performed.

The comedian also expressed deep gratitude to her friends and colleagues, particularly fellow comedian Allan K, for their prayers and unwavering support.

"Thank you, thank you sa pagdadasal para sa akin. Nagbunga iyon at patuloy pa rin kayo sana manalangin sa aking paggaling kasi marami ring doctor na pwede ako tulungan at nagvolunteer na pwede ako tulungan," Ate Gay said.
