Kapamilya actress Kaila Estrada shared that she disagreed with her mom, Janice de Belen, who complimented her as the better actress between the two of them. During the media conference for the highly-anticipated series, What Lies Beneath, earlier this week, the celebrity daughter expressed how she has always looked up to her mom and her acting prowess.
Kaila is set to play the role of Erica in the upcoming thriller-drama series. She is joined by Janella Salvador, Sue Ramirez, Charlie Dizon, Jake Cuenca, and JM de Guzman, among others.

The Kapamilya star couldn’t believe that her mom said those good words about her, but shared how grateful she is for the compliment.
“What? She said that? Wow thanks mom [but] I disagree. I feel like as my parents, gusto lang nila ipagmalaki yung mga anak nila di ba,” she shared.
Kaila added how her mother is a “living legend” in the entertainment industry–– with various acting accolades under her belt. She maintained that Janice is her idol when it comes to acting, among others.
“But we all know that my mom is a living legend–– I look up to her in all the aspects of my life, not just her as an artista,” she added.

Kaila–– who’s been in the acting industry for less than a decade–– has been getting praises from viewers for her fresh acting. Within the short time she’s been in front of the camera, the Kapamilya actress has bagged awards and nominations proving her skills as an actress.
“Having said that, nandito rin ako para ipagmalaki siya. I’m so proud to be her daughter, I’m so proud of what she has achieved in the industry. I can only wish to achieve half of that,” she continued.
Meanwhile, her upcoming series is set to premiere on Netflix this coming October 17 and will be shown on iWant on October 18. What Lies Beneath is also available on the Kapamilya Online Live, Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and TV5 starting this October 20.
