Kapamilya actress Julia Montes shared that ‘magical’ is a term that she would use to describe her relationship with long-term partner, Kapamilya actor Coco Martin. In the recent vlog of Jodi Sta. Maria, the Saving Grace star narrated how the award-winning actor was her answered prayer.
Julia and Coco have been together for more than a decade now, as revealed by the latter back in 2023.

“Kasi para sa akin, fairytale. Nasabi ko na sa past interview na parang knight in shining armor ko siya kasi syempre lahat naman tayo nung kabataan, may phase ka talaga na parang maggi-give up ka sa life. Ang prayer ko lang kay Lord, specifically, ‘Lord pagod na ako mag-alaga, gusto ko naman ako ‘yung alagaan.’ Tapos ito na siya–– Coco Martin,” she explained.
Julia recalled the first time she got to work with Coco, which was before their first project in ABS-CBN, Walang Hanggan. She admitted that the moment she saw him before, she already had developed a crush on the actor.
“Nagkatrabaho kami way back–– syempre mahiyain ako–– gusto ko na siya physically, pero hindi niya alam,” she added.
The Kapamilya star then shared that it was Walang Hanggan that paved the way for them to get to know more about each other. She then shared how she used to pray and go to several churches just to know if the Kapamilya actor is the one destined for her.
“Kapag siya ‘yung para sa akin, mag-work; pero ‘pag hindi, ‘wag na kasi ayoko. Parang gusto ko stop na, ‘wag na mag pursue ‘yung relationship or ‘yung ligawan that time. Hanggang sa eventually, kada pray ko, wala, binibigay ni Lord. Up to now, kami pa rin. Thank you Lord!” she expressed.

Now that they’ve been together for more than a decade, Julia revealed that their relationship still feels new to both of them as they’re discovering more about themselves every time.
“Sobra siyang maalaga. Actually, nakikita naman sa mga video kung paano niya ako alagaan… Sa sobrang mahiyain namin, walang maniniwala na up to now nagkakahiyaan pa rin kami. Siguro ‘yun ‘yung magic namin: para kaming bago pa rin,” she ended.
