MANILA -- Evil will never prevail.
This is the lesson that actress Irma Adlawan wants to convey to the viewers as she finally bade farewell to her villain character Olga in the hit ABS-CBN series "FPJ's Batang Quiapo."
In a video released on social media by CCM Productions, Adlawan also opened up about her experience being part of the series.
"I would have wanted na si David (Mccoy de Leon) at si Olga ang mag-meet in the end. Kung matapos man namin ang buhay ng isa't isa, I think it would be a good lesson for everyone that no matter what happens, evil does not prevail. In the end, it will have to end," she shared.
Asked about what she learned doing "Batang Quiapo," Adlawan replied: "Well for me as an actress, you learn to be always on your toes. Kasi it's not an easy task to come to set na hindi mo pa alam kung how the day will be. Kailangan preparation for everything--kapag ibinigay na 'yung script or kapag naayos na ang script, alam mo 'yun, kilalang-kilala mo na 'yung character mo."
"So you are trying to remember all the scenes you have done, the lines you have spoken para kapag nakita mo ulit siya or mayroong in connection to 'yung sinasabi mo today, pwede kang makipag-discuss, which is what I really like," she added.
Adlawan said that the collaboration on the set is something that she will cherish. She will also treasure her scenes with the show's lead star Coco Martin, hoping that she will get to work with him again in the future.
"Of course with CCM (Coco Martin), I always treasure those times that we're together kasi bihira kaming pagkitain. So I treasure the moments na, 'ay kasama ko siya sa set, yehey magkikita rin kami.' And I hope I do work with him again," she said.
"Natutuwa ako na sa akin mo ibinigay ang role na ito, na ako ang pinili mo, napili mong gumanap sa role na ito. I mean there are things that I haven't done in my career on TV that I did here. Maraming salamat na ipinatikim mo kung paano maging action star. Kasi sino ba naman ang maniniwala na pwede ko pang gawin 'yung nagawa ko rito? Maraming salamat. I pray and wish that you continue to have a golden heart," she added.
Adlawan's character Olga, who was part of the series for two years, died on Wednesday's episode of the show. She was shot by Marites (Cherry Pie Picache), mother of Martin's lead character Tanggol.
"FPJ's Batang Quiapo" airs weeknights at 8 p.m. on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, Cinema, A2Z, TV5, iWantTFC and TFC.
