KC Concepcion's photo by Mark Nicdao is now included in Getty Museum's collection
Five photographs by lauded Filipino lensman Mark Nicdao are now part of the collection of the Los Angeles-based Getty Museum.
These include photos of actresses KC Concepcion and Iza Calzado, model Nancy Castiglione, designer Jo Ann Bitagcol, and gender equality activist Queenmelo Esguerra.
"Thank you, Getty Museum!" Nicdao said in an Instagram post as he shared the good news.
"Celebration coming soon! Life is amazing," he added, as he expressed gratitude to both his team and muses.
Calzado and Esguerra congratulated Nicdao in the comments section, praising the photographer for his artistry.
"Salamat, Mark! Praise God for your talent and brilliance! Thank you for lifting us up with you! So proud! Mabuhay ka!" Calzado said.
"This is a triumph of Filipino creativity and culture! Thank you Mark for your genius!" Esguerra commented.
Concepcion, for her part, made a separate post on her Instagram account, saying she is honored to be part of Nicdao's milestone.
She said she has always believed that the lensman was "destined for greatness" because of his talent, vision, hard work, and "mind and heart of a genius."
"Mark and I have been through so many creative adventures, and seeing his extraordinary talent celebrated at this level is so inspiring. Being part of this milestone in his journey makes it so much more meaningful!" Concepcion said.
