Kapamilya star Jodi Sta. Maria got her pet dog, Z, neutered earlier this week. The Lavender Fields actress shared with her fans on social media her experience on having her pet undergo the procedure.
Jodi revealed that this decision of having Z, shortened for Zandro, neutered has been something that needed to be done for his health.

The Kapamilya actress recalled how her pet dog was so scared about the procedure to which she assured him that she’ll be praying for him outside of the operating room.
“I sent Z to the vet to be neutered. I knew this step had to be taken for his health and well-being na rin. He was so scared and didn't want me to leave him. I didn’t want to go but I had to coz I can’t be in the operating room. I kept assuring him that everything will be fine and that he was safe in Doc Bea’s loving hands,” she recalled.
Z was given pre-anesthetic to calm him down before he was brought to the operating room. They also had to give him several medicines so that they would be able to intubate him for the procedure to continue.
“Sa awa ng Diyos, successful po ang surgery,” Jodi added.

“Z tolerated everything very well. So proud of my baby Z! Kakalimutan ko muna na kinatkat nya yung furniture ko sa bahay 😁 Post-op, he was super groggy pa pero gusto na mag play. Then naglambing pa kay Doc Bea na samahan siya sa cage kaya ayan silang dalawa magkasama,” she shared.
Jodi is thankful that her pet dog has been recovering well and has no complications as of this writing.
Z is one of the three pets that Jodi has adopted. Apart from Z, the award-winning star takes care of her pet cat Naia and her other dog Lily.
