Kapuso actress Bianca Umali expressed her love for her grandmother, Vicky Umali, earlier this week on her official social media accounts. She recalled giving her grandmother a radio earlier this year after her old one broke down.
Bianca is known to have a close relationship with her grandmother who raised her after losing both of her parents.

“Siya ang buhay ko,” she wrote.
Bianca recalled how the radio was one of the most important items in their household as her grandmother would have it turned on from the wee hours up until the evening.
“Magdamag lang nakikinig ang lola ko. Kahit pa habang nanood kami ng mga paborito niyang teleserye, naka on lang ang radyo sa background para walang makaligtaan na balita,” she shared.
It was earlier this year when her grandmother asked her to buy a new radio due to her old one breaking. Her grandmother added how the radio is one of her sources of happiness whenever she does house chores.
The Kapuso star shared that she bought the radio almost immediately as she wants nothing but the happiness of her lola Vicky.
“At nung naibigay ko sa kanya, ang saya saya niya. At sabi ng mga pinsan ko, hindi daw niya ito binibitawan. Kahit saang sulok siya ng bahay magpunta. Alam niyo yung kunwari kailangan niyo siya hanapin - sundan niyo lang kung saan nanggagaling yung tunog ng radyo, ayun andun siya haha ang kyot kyot lang,” she added.

Bianca maintained that if simple things such as a radio is what would make her grandmother happy, she would be willing to buy it. For her, this is her way of giving back to her lola Vicky who raised her and made her who she is today.
“Mama, @vickyumali , anuman ang hilingin mo - sisikapin ko na ibigay sayo lalo kung alam ko na ikasasaya mo. Isa ito sa mga paraan kong maibabalik ko sayo ang lahat lahat ng mga ginawa mo para sakin. Hindi kita papabayaan,” she wrote.
“Ang sarap lang ipangalandakan na mahal ko ang lola ko,” she added.
Netizens applauded Bianca in the comment section of her post for being a caring granddaughter and for taking care of her grandmother.
