MANILA -- ABS-CBN trended on microblogging site X (formerly Twitter) hours after Kuya of Pinoy Big Brother formally announced that the reality competition show would mark its 20th year with a collaboration between media giants ABS-CBN and GMA Network.
On Monday night, January 27, the collaboration was first announced on GMA's flagship newscast "24 Oras."
Kuya or Big Brother said that for the first time, he would open his iconic house to welcome GMA Sparkle artists, alongside ABS-CBN's Star Magic talents.
He added that the PBB's newest season would be called "PBB Celebrity Edition Collab."
The "PBB" collaboration between ABS-CBN and GMA Network will be the first in the history of the reality show as it only aired on ABS-CBN, cable TV, and through online platforms in its previous seasons.
As of writing, the topic Pinoy Big Brother was also trending on X.
In a statement released by ABS-CBN, it expressed gratitude to all viewers and supporters of the two media giants.
