Carmelle Collado, who first gained recognition as a runner-up on The Voice Kids in 2019, again made waves— this time as the Grand Champion of It’s Showtime’s Tawag ng Tanghalan: School Showdown.
Now 17, Carmelle made her stage comeback as a more confident and polished performer, showcasing her growth and skill.
“This is the next chapter of my life. This is another blessing. My purpose is to inspire and share my gift,” Carmelle said in an interview held after the program, Saturday.

Her final performance, which was honored by the judges with standing ovation, earned her a near-perfect score of 98.
While Erik Santos, who was one of the judges, acknowledged the undeniable talent of all 10 contestants, he believes Carmelle Collado stood out as the strongest performer.
“Malayo mararating niya. Ibang level of difficulty pinakita niya. Nangibabaw siya bilang performer,” he reasoned.
Isay Olarte from City College of Calapan claimed second place with a score of 97.7 percent, while Arvery Lagoring from Claret School-Lamitan took third with 92.5 percent.

“Mas pinatatag ang loob ko, mas matatag yung resilience ko sa kaba. ang dami ko natutunan sa mga judges,” Olarte explained.
Sobrang happy po ako. Mas ginaganahan po ako kasi love ko pag kanta,” Lagoring added.
